Are there any DVD players that can play data discs?

Will Blu-Ray players play DVD+R discs better than regular DVD players without skipping and breaking up/freezin?

  If your regular DVD player is having trouble reading DVD+R disks then it may just be that your dvd player is not compatible with those disks and would be better off playing DVD-R disks instead of DVD+R disks. I have a DVD player that have trouble playing DVD-R disks and will Play DVD+R disks just fine so try that or also try getting a kit to clean out the DVD player's lens which may be the issue as well. Most if not all modern DVD players should be compatible with many types of DVDs but check compatibility before you buy to be sure. I don't think you should get a blu-ray player unless you intend on buying blue ray disks. If you are just using regular burned DVDs then just get another regular dvd player that is compatible with the DVD you will use.
