Which is the best Polk or Jbl?

From Bose Lifestyle 35 to Pioneer VSX and Polk/JBL?

  • I am currently looking into getting the following setup to upgrade from my Bose lifestyle 35 w/ jewel cubes (which the amp's so screwed up that i cannot turn it up past 63!) I would like to get: Receiver: Pioneer vsx1120-k 7.1 channel Fronts: Polk audio monitor 70's in cherry wood Rear: Polk audio monitor 30's in cherry Subwoofer: JBL ES250PCH 12" 4OO watt Center: Polk audio CS10 Does this sound like a good combo? Will all of these speakers work seamlessly with the vsx-1120-k receiver? Alternatives for rears? We like the wood cherry finish on all these speakers. Thanks for the input! -Bobby

    Looks like a nice step up from the Bose. Everything should work fine. just make sure you have good speaker wire, subwoofer cable, and banana plugs to make the connections easier.

Yes, it will work fine. JBL is a much better speaker brand than the Polk Audio. Demo them with your own source of music, and listen to one song and compare the speakers. Hope this will help you out.
