  This is an age old question. What you need to decide is whether you want to trade quantity for quality when it comes to movies and games? I love the enormous amounts of screen real-estate with my projector (92" diagonal) and the whole viewing experience is better than anything that a TV could offer. The problem is that you will end up worrying about lamp life and trying to keep your room dark for optimum viewing. It's a trade off but I prefer the whole sense of occasion of watching an HD movie in my home cinema to flipping on a smaller TV. If you're planning on playing games you will find yourself eating through lamp hours rather quickly and this may be a problem, but if you're willing to deal with that it is highly recommended. My Setup: 1. EPSON- EH-TW2900 (The EH-TW range is fantastic! I highly recommend them) 2. Celexion pull-up screen (These screens are pricey but they look amazing) 3. Western Digital HDTV Live (A great HD solution, it plays just about everything I can throw at it, the firmware can tend to be buggy though)
