What can I do to save my sound system?

Im looking for a surround sound system for my room that doesn't cost a fortune that works for my tv and comp?

  • I want to be able to set it up so that the TV is surround sound along with my desktop computer.I want to know what i need to do for a surround sound sound system (which i do not own yet), to make it work for both the computer and the TV/DVD player. So basically if i were to purchase a the sound system would it already be able to do this or would i have to go out and buy extra wires and set up my self? If so how would i go about setting it up like this. Also i wouldn't mind being able to set up my iPod on the same system so it would play all around. So in the end i want my room to have a awesome sound setup. Also i do not wish to pay overly much but telling me how to do these things would be nice so when i do save up the money i will be able to do it.

  • Answer:

Logitech Z-5500 will do what you want. It has optical, coax, and analog inputs. I have it connected to three computers and an iPod, easy to switch between, and the iPod and one computer can mix their audio. Best system there is for under $300. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakers_audio/home_pc_speakers/devices/224&cl=US,EN http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121120 http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-THX-Certified-505-Watt-Digital-Surround/dp/B0002WPSBC
