Which type of 5.1 surround sound system will play my TV sound?

  • ive recently bought a sumvision v-cube surround sound system but it only plays through all speakers when watching a DVD, i want a system that plays my TV sound but dont wona be caught out again as i dont know what to look for. any suggestions?

    Panasonic SC-BTT270 5.1 Surround Sound System is a Great product. Superb sounds. Linked with my Toshiba LCD TV automattically through the Regza link option. Very satisfied with it in general. I wish it had more than one hdmi port. I had to buy an optical cable to connect the sound from the TV to the Panasonic unit. Took 10 minutes to figure out all the connections. I have not used the 3D features of the Blue Ray reader yet. This will come next when I buy a new 3D TV. a

go to the stored and ask them: any surround sound that have 1 RCA input or to connect an optical wire input but the TV needs to have output RCA or optical.

Pioneer HTS-GS1 is amazing and works just as advertised. The MCACC mic for setup is very cool, and helps those of us who don't want to be tweaking a sound system for a week to get decent sound. That said the system is infinitely configurable and very well thought out. You will absolutely enjoy this system, and it is an awesome value.

I hope the source for your TV is input to the surround receiver, and the surround receiver outputs video to the TV. If you have the TV hooked to the source, and the audio comes from the TV to the surround receiver, the 5.1 encoding may have been stripped off.
