What's a good brand RECEIVER for setting up a 7.1 surround sound?

  • What's a good brand RECEIVER for setting up a 7.1 surround sound? Not trying to spend too much. But I'm trying to run a 7.1 receiver surround sound with self powered sub woofer. Thanks guys!

    Onkyo seems to give you much bang for your buck, as well. But all those brands Dances with cats said are good. So is Sony's ES line, Sherwood's Newcastle, and Harmon Kardon models. I'd have recommended some make/models, but you fail to provide a price range.
