Question about a TV commercial?

LCD TV Mounting Question (using universal Space Saver tv mount)?

• I recently bought the above mentioned tv mount for my 37" LCD. The specifications on the box of the mount I purchased say it will fit any LCD up to 40". The bracket that attaches to the tv however is a single panel square with 4 holes for screws on each corner (not double rail brackets like most tv mount models). Because the back of my tv has six screw holes only (3 on top...3 on the bottom positioned 2 on each side and one set in the center) the panel will only fit on either side of the tv....and not in the exact center, additionally the screws provided are about 2x the length of the size of screws that will go flush onto my tv, that's an easy fix I know, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue? Would it be unsafe or might I damage the tv if the weight isn't equally distributed? I don't plan on swiveling the tv much at all but do want to have the tv tilted as I'm planning on placing it above eye level...additional info...the portion of the mount that attaches to the wall has an arm bracket that can extend out and has a 15 degree tilt so the tv mount is not the type that sits flush against the wall and the weight of the tv is no more than 50 lbs, specific model type for the tv mount is SPACE SAVER MOUNTING SYSTEMS MODEL NO. 60403.   It might be OK bot being that it is a swivel mount I don't recommend being off balance. Mount manufacturers should never list a mount as being compatible with ANY TV within a certain range only MOST. There may be an adapter plate you can buy or make using parts at home depot.
