How to open flash projector on a specific screen?

Would it be wiser to get a 4:3 projector screen or a 16:9 projector screen?

  • The room is about 120" by 90" so 16:9 screen would be about 138" diagonal and a 4:3 would be about 150" diagonal. I was thinking of getting a fixed screen so I wanted to get the 4:3 so the screen is floor to ceiling so when the wii or standard (non-hd) channels are in use the whole screen is in use and when HD channels or the PS3 is running part of the screen is used. I was also thinking of getting a pull down screen where I was even more confused about the 4:3 vs 16:9. Thanks!

  • Answer:

Most material is now in 16:9 4:3 is legacy. You can always watch 4:3 content on a 16:9 screen

4:3 is obsolete. Go for 16:9 or one of the wider cinema aspect ratios.

I don't even like 16:9, more movies are in 2.35:1 of 2.4:1 so I did the 2.4:1. I'm not sure why you would want the screen floor to ceiling. The nice thing about making the screen 2.4:1 is that you can set it up for CIH (Constant Image Height). The best way is to use an anamorphic lens and video scaling but you definitely need the wider screen. mk

Don't get a screen if you have white wall else get a 4:3 one just in case.
