Home theater question?

Question about home theater....?

  • When you connect home theater to the T.V, is there sounds coming out from the t.v too? My friend has a sony t.v and it's connected to sony home theater. His t.v has a sound setting where he can choose home theater or T.V. When he choose home theater his T.V will have no sound, but only the speakers. And when he turn up the volume he can see lines on the T.V telling him how loud he put it on. My dynex t.v doesn't do those that sony does. But i am wondering is it better to have the T.V mute and only let Speakers have sound or turn both them on. Which will have better sound qualities?

  • Answer:

I just turn the volume down all the way on my TV and let the home theater system provide the sound. If you leave the volume turned up on your TV, you will take away from the quality of your theater sound system
