Cheap speaker system with optical input?

I have 5.1ch. speaker system but 2 audio input points. So How can I input 5.1ch. audio from5.1ch. dvd player?

  By '2 audio input points' I take it to mean that on the back of your 5.1 system there are 2 sockets, one red and one white. If so these are normal analog stereo inputs, the red is right hand and the white is left hand. Its unusual for a dvd player to have all 6 outputs (12 sockets) on the back. They normally have an output for optical (toslink) and the same 2 red/white sockets. What you can do is this - if your player has the red/white socket pair on the back you can connect those to the red/white socket pair on your 5.1 surround system. You won't be getting true 5.1 sound, but your surround system will have a decoder built into it, which will decode the 2 channel signal and 'synthesize' 5.1 audio. Then you can use the DSP effects of the surround system such as 'stadium' or 'live' or 'church'. Its not perfect but its a good compromise and you would be pleased with the results. Of course, if both player and surround system have a toslink socket, you would get true 5.1 surround sound by connecting those with a fibre optic toslink cable. Provided that the material you are playing, ie. the disc, was recorded with 5.1 audio.
