  • I'm thinking about buying universal remote control Harmony 300. The reason I want to buy it other than my TV remote almost stopped working is I have a screen play hd connect to my TV via hdmi port and I need the "input button" on the remote control to use it. When I buy the remote do i have to set the input button?

    First off, I would like to congratulate you on considering a Harmony remote. They are Amazing. I have owned 4 (gave two away and still own two). By far the coolest thing about these remotes is that they are so compatible. They will perform every function you need it to, and then some. You should have no problem getting it to select inputs. If for some reason there is no button on the remote that is already designated as your input button, you can always customize the remote and make buttons that you don't use do other things. For instance, if you never use the "guide" button, you can actually reassign that button to work as your "input" button.

You can program the button specifically, but most likely, when you enter the model number and put it in an activity, your input button will automatically populate. If not, you can create it by going to the "customize buttons" options under your specific activity.
