How to keep my subwoofer from blowing?

Hi does anyone knows what are the possible causes for a subwoofer to keep blowing its fuse?thanks!?

    Did the sub-woofer operate correctly in the past or did you recently acquire it? If you just acquired it, the fact that it has a fuse indicates to me that it is a self powered unit and normally uses a "line level"input. Look on the back of your amp for a "sub-woofer" output jack of the RCA type. DO NOT connect to the amp's speaker outputs.If you already connected to the amp's speaker outputs before, then you probably "blew" the sub's built in amp thereby causing the fuse to blow.Additional fuses will keep on blowing until the amp is repaired. Using any fuse greater than 1.5 times the original fuse value will damage the amp further or potentially cause a fire.

some wires are probably touching some where. Re trace all wires and see if that is the problem. (My husband is a 10 time competition winner, I know a little bit about systems)

Your wiring or your amp is putting out way too much for your subs to handle, therefore blowing fuses

well you got the car stereo answers there. assuming this is home stereo, here is some more: just like Car stereo, it could be internal wiring, and you can take it apart to check. could be power spikes in supply from the wall. assuming we are talking about the style with the amp and woofer together. you can try to use a higher fuse, but under no circumstance should you go any higher than 25% above the original fuses (if 2amp, no more than 2&1/2) UNLESS-----it is blowing immediately.... that is certainly wiring issue and could get dangerous. edited.... stupid "R" button sticking
