Why don't my surround sound speakers work?

Will Creative 7.1 speakers work with a Bravia TV? And deliver the surround sound effect?Read additional info?

I bought creative 7.1 speakers and recently got a bravia tv. Now I know creative 7.1 speakers are compatiable with TV, it's just i need the wires too connet each other cause their different from pc wire's. So if i buy the right wire to connect the tv too the 7.1 creative surround sound will the bravia TV have the right sound card as well as the 7.1 speaker to create the surround sound effect. Cause i want to have the surround sound effect instead of having all speakers work but no surround sound effect. Plz HELP Any info related to this will be helpful even if u dont get what i mean

It Should work with Barvia Tv...I have connected creative 5.1 with my Sony Tv..... For this i buyed a connector from market to connect with Tv....It is giving True Surround sound as i get from PC... Check ur connector or Speakers Wires....It Should work with Tv...its v simple
