How to set up Wii on HDTV?

How to connect Wii, Cable Box and HDTV to Panasonic Home Theater?

• I have the following equipment : 1. wii console 2. Comcast HD cable box 3. Panasonic Home Theater In a Box 5.1 Channel i want all the outputs to come throught the Home theater. I have it set up in the following way : the wii is connected to the HDTv through component cables, while the Home Theater and the Cable Box are connected using HDMi. at this point however, im getting output from the home theater speakers only whn im watching DvDs. i was wondering how to get the output from the wii and Cable through my home theater system ? do i need to get some special equipment such as optical cables n such ? detailed answers will be greatly appreciated...thanx :)

  It would help if we knew the model of TV and Home Theater The Home Theater will have to be changed to whatever input you are using, on the remote press function or input whatever it's called to change between the different devices Assuming the TV has digital audio optical output this will connect to the Home Theater by TOSlink cable then select this input on the Home Theater, it may be called AUX or similar If the TV has a coax digital output and the Home Theater only has optical then a coax/optical converter is needed If the TV has only analog stereo ( red/white ) outputs this will connect with RCA cable but will not be 5.1 channel surround sound If the TV has no audio outputs then the wii and cable box will have to connect direct to the Home Theater and will not be able to route the TV through it
