How do I get my new flat screen tv to project sound from my old stereo speakers?
-
I own a JVC stereo tht was bought in 02...I used the aux on it to get surround sound for my old tv...just bought a new lg led flat screen and I wanna do the same, can I?

Answer:
If your new TV has audio line outputs, sure. Another option is if your cable box has audio line outputs, you can run those to the stereo while running the video line or HDMI to the TV. ------- Edit: Nope. It takes more than an adapter cable to convert digital to analog. You still have a shot if the TV has a headphone jack...... that's just another form of audio output. Then all you'd need is a 3.5mm to RCA cable.

You new LG tv only has an optical audio output which has to be connected to a receiver or home theater in a box with an optical audio input. Hope this will help you out.
