Why won't my HDMI cable work?

Why is my 360 controller doing this - all 4 lights blinking green- HDMI cable WILL NOT work COMPONENT can what?

  • Every time I turn on my controller it blinks green - all four lights, I try to sync. it to my console over and over but it just doesn't want to connect to the Xbox. WHY IS IT DOING THIS???? I have an HDMI cable if that makes any difference, it did it when I first plugged it it but I it going again, then it does in AGAIN! I can't make it connect to the console no matter what I do, even if I try syncing it to the Xbox, why is it doing this and how can I fix this? And the batteries CAN'T be dead because I just fully charged it while I was using the play - and - charge kit! Well, while the disc was in I tipped it to its horizontal state, the Xbox was off, and by tipped I mean I GENTLY shifted it to the horizontal position. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN I HAVE THE HDMI CABLE, WHAT THE F-?! IT WORKS PERFECTLY FOR THE COMPONENT CABLE!!! AND I JUST BOUGHT THE HDMI CABLE LESS THEN 5 HOURS AGO! IT CAN'T BE DAMAGED! IT CAN'T!

  • Answer:

Any cable can be faulty. The best thing to do is try another HDMI cable to try to see if the fault is the cable or the system. Check with the store to see if you can return the cable if it doesn't solve the problem. You don't need an expensive cable ... simply look for a cable certified "High Speed" against HDMI version 1.3 or later. $5-$10 from many sources. Just don't use one any longer than you really need.
