Are DVD recorders as reliable as VCR's?

About dvd recorders and vcrs?????????

  • ok so i want to put all of our home movie vhs tapes on dvds so can you please tell me how to hook it up so the dvd recorder will record the stuff off of the vhs tape so our home movies will be on dvds and please tell me simple cause i dont know about things like this thanks:)

    coax or rca cables out (video out) from the vcr to the coax or rca in on the dvdr. rca being the red white and yellow cable. then pick one again to come from the dvdr to the tv. pref the same one. coax to coax or rca to rca to make things easier.

There are machine now that are combination of the DVD and VCR, You do not need to connect any cable for recording from the VCR to the DVD, you only need the cable to connect it to the tv. More than likely it will have a component cable out put and an optical or rca jacks for the audio. You can also open the owners manual of the machine to provide you the instructions. Hope this will help you out.
