LG Blu-ray home theatre system continues to say "Please Wait"?
-
My LG Network Blu-ray Disc/DVD Home Theatre System (Model HB905PA) was experiencing some trouble with playing recent blu-ray discs, so I decided to pull out the ethernet cable and update it. When updating, the download was successful, however when it went to install it the system gave me an error saying that the update did not install. From then on, whenever i turned on the system, it displayed a message saying that it had a more recent update to install, and directed me to the update button. When I selected update, it searched, and found No New Updates, which considering the system told me that there was one, was quite odd. To see if it was a bug, i went into the settings, under "Other" and then to "Initialize." I chose "Factory Set." (hoping to return it to the default settings and update again). The factory set ran, and shut off the display for a few seconds (but not the system), and then turned the display back on. I went to update, and found that there was still no new update. So, I shut the system off, thinking that maybe it was like a computer, and needed to restart to do changes. When I turned the system back on, it said in the built in display "Welcome", the cut to repeating "Please Wait." The volume will change, and the eject disc button works as well (I can even hear the disc spinning when i put one in), however, nothing else works, and the display is not even receiving anything. I should also note that the display (LG tv) is registering that the hdmi connection is active (which it does not say when the cord is unplugged or the theatre system is off). When i select on the input it says is there (signified by a bolder picture as opposed to greyed out), it says that there is no input, and redirects me to the input screen. I have put in all of the information I can think of, and although it is a bit long winded, I hope that I will receive some help, and thank you in advance to anyone who took the time to read this and help.

Answer:
You should contact LG, and read this out to them. If it's under warranty they'll be glad to help, and if it's not they should still be able to. They know their hardware the best, and if it's broken they can help you get it replaced. Christopher
