Can a blu ray player connect to the internet?

Sony blu ray player will not connect to internet?

• I have a Sony blu ray player and netgear wireless adapter hooked up to stream movies (mostly through Netflix). Everything worked yesterday, and all lights are on my adapter saying there is a strong signal. I ran a network test on my blu ray player and it says everything is okay. All connections are fine but it says "A network error has occurred, do you want to set the internet settings?" when I try to connect to Netflix or any other streaming company. I pushed yes, everything says good to go, but it still will not work. I tried rebooting the blu ray player but that did not work. Any thoughts?
