Will American DVDs play in Morocco?

Are American DVDs and CDs compatible with Australian CD and DVD players?

  • I just signed up for Amazon, and I wish to purchase DVDs from there. But are the DVDs in America able to play on Australian players?

  • Answer:

Yes you can play DVD’s from other parts of the world. In 2009 I purchased an AMTC BD2101 bluray DVD player, which cost $170. For ordinary DVD’s it is completely DVD region free. For Bluray DVD’s have to enter a region code on the remote control while the tray is open. 973501 for region A bluray DVD’s 973502 for region B bluray DVD’s etc For other players search on the Internet with model number along with region codes or hacks. Here is just one site with a number of DVD player region codes listed. http://www.download-info.com/dvd/index_new.htm

CDs will work everywhere DVDs will not work. US is using NTSC while Australia uses PAL.

Use a PC DVD drive, hook it to the TV with RGB or HDMI cable. Your set then :-)
