I need some help. .will this work? (RCA to 3.5mm to PC Headset)?
-
I'm a gamer I want to use a headset for in-game sound without having to pay $70 for one. I came up with an idea to do it cheaper . . Split the audio (rca) coming from my PS3 and run one side to my television and with the other run a RCA to 3.5mm headphone jack. Then use a F/F coupler to connect the headphones to the 3.5mm jack. Would there be any problems with this idea? I want to be sure it'll work before I buy everything.

Answer:
Hi ; i dont think it will work caused the audio signal coming out of the rca jack need to be amplified by either connecting it to an amplifier,a compo or a tv set & then connect your head phone to these apparatus. if your tv has an headphone jack out then connect both rca from ps3 to your audio tv input then your head phone to 3.5mm jack output. hope your tv has the headphone output.
