What is the difference between the HDMI cable and the component HD-AV cable for the xbox 360?
-
I just purchased a 32" Sony Bravia HD LCD tv for my room and I was just wondering what the difference is between the HDMI cable that comes with the xbox 360 elite and the Component HD-AV cable that comes with the xbox 360 pro. I am going to purchase an xbox 360 soon.

Answer:
Component cables are capable of HD resolutions but they are an analog signal. HDMI cables are also capable of HD resolutions along with carrying audio on the same cable, and the signal remains digital. The end result should be similar for both ways of connecting the XBOX, but the HDMI cable is generally the preferred method.
