Connecting tv to DVD hifi System?

Connecting my Mini-Hifi system to my LED Hitachi 42" HDTV?

Hi, I want better sound with my TV.... thinking of buying a home theater system later for now I have a miniHiFi system "http://compareindia.in.com/productdetai… (sony mhc gnz333d) , I want to connect its speakers to my Tv's output! So My tv has the Rca.... that Red,White,Yellow output ports so i connected the wire to that only to find that my HiFi system has only a video (yellow) input but no red and white input! but there is one port saying audio input infront... which i used to connect my ipod and listen to! so which wire do i connect or HOW TO CONNECT properly?
