How do I get surround sound for TV and PS3?

I want to buy surround sound for my ps3 i have a 1080p tv and im wondering if i can get this system?

    You will not be able to get Dolby Digital surround sound either from the TV or PS3 with this system as it only has one set of 2 channel analog inputs on the back. There are no additional toslink or digital coax inputs for this unit. So it would be a ill advised purchase. Sony is over priced for the quality and features you get anyway. You would need to step up to a better standalone receiver to get what you want. Sony has the STR-DG810 at a minimum to get what you want, if it must be a Sony. Onyko has a Receiver for this application the TX-SR705. It is hard to go wrong with Denon either, try the AVR-2308CI. You neglected to mention a budget but stay away from HTIBs as these are meant to move product and are usually put together for a price point not sonic value. (Onkyo has an exception with the THX system the have).
