Satellite receiver goes off when i plug in the RG6?

Bell Satellite receiver goes off when i plug in the RG6 cable. comes back on when take the RG6 out. anyone know whats going on here. we reran the cord around the house. its for our bedroom tv so instead of running the cord all through the house we decided to do that but can not get it working again. tried unplugging it and waiting but still not working. any help?

Answer:
There is a short between the center and shield conductors somewhere in the coax or a connector between the receiver and the LNB. You will have to unhook and check every connector and cable to make sure there are no kinks in the cable and no foil shield is touching the center wire at any of the ends. If all of that checks out OK either the LNB is shorted or the power supply in the receiver is weak.
