How would I go about setting up a projector in my room?
-
I'm remodelling my room (hooray!) Basically I'd like to get a HD Projector (1080p), followed by a screen which dimension's are 120", 4:3. Projector :http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HD-Projector-1080i-Free-Extra-Bulb-HDMI-Cable-BNIB-/220799752920?pt=UK_AudiVideoElectronics_Video_Electronics&hash=item3368b0dad8 Screen : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-120-4-3-ELECTRIC-HD-PROJECTION-SCREEN-GLASS-BEAD/190562755356?ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1&ih=009&category=22610&cmd=ViewItem#ht_3537wt_1270 I'm using this to watch stuff online on my laptop, but obviously, with a much bigger screen, my laptop is a dell inspiron 15r (http://www.dell.com/uk/p/inspiron-15r-n5110/pd.aspx?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=mn&ST=dell%20inspiron%2015r&dgc=ST&cid=41141&lid=1069630&acd=1240474417205646 - for more information on laptop) basically, how would I connect the projector? What I mean is, how will I get my laptop screen on my wall? (Will there be a bluetooth adapter usb or something which I stick in both the projector and the laptop) Or will I have to have loads of cables? Also, where will the cables from the projector go? I'd like to perhaps have the projector on my ceiling, but will it need cable's? Like a big plug connecting to a socket, or will it just be battery powered or something? I'm sorry if I haven't made this very clear. Also, last question, for my setup, which would be the best projector to get? This one : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HD-Projector-1080i-Free-Extra-Bulb-HDMI-Cable-BNIB-/220799752920?pt=UK_AudiVideoElectronics_Video_Electronics&hash=item3368b0dad8 Or this : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HD-Projector-1080p-Home-Cinema-Games-Consoles-/170718656875?pt=UK_AudiVideoElectronics_Video_Electronics&hash=item27bf9ff96b#ht_5982wt_1270 Oh wait, one more thing, could I connect my bose companion 2 speakers to the projector or whatever to make the sound better? - Thanks guys ;)

Answer:
Keep in mind that a projector is more expensive than a 50" HDTV. Beside that the lamp are only rated at 2,000 hours of use and a replacement lamp is not easy to find. You also need a dark room and a projector screen to be effective. There are no audio connection on the projector. The audio has to come from your computer. A half way decent 1080P projector will set you back around $1,500. There are no USB or wireless projector in the market. I use a projector only to watch a blu ray disc movie. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on projectors. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Hope this will help you out.
