How can I connect my Blu-ray to the Internet?

Why wont this Samsung Bluray player connect to the internet?

  • This Samsung BD-C6500 bluray player can never keep connected to my router. I have tried to update my software but it wont work because it can never stay connected to the wireless internet provided. It usually needs to be connected to my neighbors unsecured one but even that it doesnt keep connected constantly. When trying to connect to mine, my router gives me all these options of WEP, WPA, WPA2 and i tried all of them with their ridiculously large passcodes. And still no luck. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have a cisco/linksys wireless router. p.s. the player says either, cannot connect after the second checklist of the network test, or it says contact network provider for more assistance or something like that HELPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Answer:

Your wireless signal from the router isn't strong enough. I have a Samsung BDP3600 and tried to connect with a wireless router and even upgraded my speed. However the speed drops when you use the wireless signal. It only put out 54 mps and needs to be between 150 to 300 mbs. When I connected with an ethernet cable, Netflix came right on. Try a faster router or go with an ethernet cable
