How do I convert Dolby Digital 5.1 from my Sky+ HD Box to connect to the 6 channel input on my hi-fi?
-
I have a hi-fi with 5 speakers that I would like to use to output the Dolby Digital 5.1 from my Sky HD Box. My hi-fi doesn't have a Dolby Digital decoder though, and only has a discrete 6 channel input in the back of it. Is there any way, without spending a fortune, that I can convert the sound output from my Sky HD box to a 6 channel input for my hi-fi?

Answer:
There is no cheap solution available for what you're trying to do. You'll spend as much as a new receiver would cost to do it.
