How do I connect both wii and the dvd player to my tv?

What do i need to connect multiple rca cables to my tv?

  • i am trying to connect my satellite box, wii, and dvd player all to my tv at the same time. do i need some sort of adapter to plug all of them into and then from that to my tv? if so, what is it called so i can try to find one?

  • Answer:

If you run out of TV inputs to plug all of your devices into, then you could look into getting a home theater receiver or a video input selector: http://www.google.com/products?q=video+input+selector&hl=en&aq=0&oq=video+input+s . A home theater receiver can act as a video selector for all of your different devices, in addition to giving you home theater surround sound. Receivers also have more options when dealing with multiple types of video connections (such as upconverting all video inputs to a single output for the TV), so a good one can simplify the switching you will do each day. Some receivers are known as HTIB (home theater in a box) because they also match budget minded speakers with them, so you have everything in one purchase. Some HTIBs with built in disc players have few or no video inputs. Avoid those entry level systems because they will not help you with your lack of inputs.
