  Based on your question and the information you provided, you have unknowingly answered your own question. The Z Cinema is essentially a 2.1 system, meaning it's stereo. Whereas, the Z.-5500 is an excellent 5.1 surround sound that looks and sounds very nice. Although many gamers love the base, I believe the sub could be a little tighter. If you are looking for a nice surround sound system, between the two the Z-5500 is the way to go. Many folks into music make their own systems at a fraction of the price that 5.1 systems are being sold for and putting together incredible sound systems. I found 4 tower type speakers at a garage sale in perfect condition made from walnut with great craftsmanship for $80 total and replaced the and Woofer with an awesome one for $180 each. I have a system that is better than most professional systems. They are now the small speakers, but a lot of muscle and separation and came be used outdoors. Very simple to do.
