Can I plug RCA cables into a component output?
-
I bought a new tv, and on the back of it, it only has component outputs (Blue, Red, Green). My DVD player only supports RCA cables (Yellow, Red White). Would I be able to plug my DVD player to my TV with RCA cables in a component output? Is there a risk in doing it? Thanks

Answer:
Well your question is alittle confusing, in that it sounds like your trying to plug the dvd players output to the tv's input(not output). Your TV should have standard composite video inputs as well as component inputs. If your dvd player only has composite outputs (yellow - video, red- right audio, white-left audio) your tv should have the same inputs. You cannot connect a composite (video) output to a component(video) input. Hope that answers your question
