How can I play DVD-9 on Samsung home theater HT-TP33?

My TV wont play through my home theater system, no matter what i do. HELP?!!!?

  • I have a 32" Class LCD HDTV LC320SS2 and a Coby Home Theater System that has this Serial Number 0621102538. I had the home theater system hooked up to a smaller Samsung TV and it worked just fine. I tried hooking it up through the A/V jacks and it didn't work so i called the hot line and they said I Needed a coaxial digital audio cable so i bought one and it still didn't work. So I called Tech Support back and for the Sylvania TV and they had no clue. I've tried unplugging it and every menu option I can possibly mess with on the TV and the Home Theater System. I am literally at a loss, usually i can figure these things out by myself or between friends no problem. I'm Desperate for help. Please Help me.

    I think there is nothing to do with coaxial cable. Things will be very straight forward if the connections are via RCA cables. Provide the model number/specs (not serial number) of your TV and HT. Also, clearly mention what you want to do (or what is wrong). Hope I can guide you step by step. There is a difference between coax cable and optical audio cable. Most tv have only the optical audio cable for an audio output. This has to be connected to a receiver or a home theater with an optical audio input or a sound bar. It is a digital signal that has to be decoded by a Dolby digital decoder. Coax cable has rca jack on each end. Most home theater in a box does not have an optical audio input at all. So, check the output on your tv and also the input on your home theater. Hope this will help you out.
