Best home theater setup.

Home theater or Home Entertainment Setup- Please hurry!?

• We just got a new TV and have no idea how to set up oyur home theater / home entertainment system. We can get the DVD to play through the TV but no sound thru the TV, just the connected speakers. We need to hook up the following comfortably: Tv: Sony KP57HW40 Home Theater/ DVD: RCA RTD 206 Brighthouse Cable Box PS3 HP Pavillon. (eventually) If I could get this situated- we'd never leave the house! Who could we call on?

  on the back of your tv is the av jacks yellow white and red, or if hd will be blue green and another color I forget, these must not go anywhere except the AV in jacks, otherwise if you plug it into the tv in, when you shut the dvd player off the sound goes away, when you want to play a dvd press the component button on the remote until it gets to av, then press dvd on the dvd remote. then shut the dvd off or press sattalite and the sound will come out of the surround speakers, normally just the front unless the show is in surround. press component button until it goes back to regular tv.
