When burning a movie to blu ray disc does the quality become blu ray quality?

  • I have some dvd movies that isn't on blu ray so I wanted to burn them onto a blu ray disc so will the quality become regular dvd or blue ray??

    the quality will be whatever the original dvd is. the only reason for burning regular dvds onto blu-ray would be to allow more room and maybe copy multiple movies onto one disc. the software that you are using may have options to re-size the image so that it fits on your screen better, but the quality will not be better the image will just be stretched to fit the new size.

Did you really just ask this question? Do you believe in magic? Yes, blank blu rays are magic, they will turn your 480i DVD into true 1080P HD movies. Wake up, blu ray is just storage, lots of it. 25GB or 50GB if it's a dual layer. Blu ray isn't HD, it simply has the capacity to hold it. Blu ray can hold DVD quality movies, photos, computer programs, and anything else you can think of. If you put a DVD movie onto a 50GB jump drive, do you think it would look better too?
