Will the TV cables work with tv?

Do Component AV Cables for psp go work on rugular standard tv?

  • I bought hd component av cables for my psp go and they dont seem to work on my regular red white and yellow plug in "standard" tv it only works on my hd 42 inch can you tell me if these hd cables work on regular tv or if you need to buy another pair just for standard tv. Thanks.

    no. 2 totally different things. the cables are essentially the same, but the signals are different. you would need to be sure you use composite outputs from the psp and i'm not sure it has those... and then you'd need to be sure the red on the psp is connected to the red on the tv regardless of the color of the calbe. have done this on other audio/video equipment, the cables don't matter, the source and input is reallly specific tho.

That's because the standard "red/white/yellow" tv signals are right and left channel audio and Composite TV. PSP does make a cable such as this (it only has 3 plugs on the end - the HD Component cable has 5 plugs on the end).
