How to clean my Sony Portable DVD Player?

How is the Sony PSP3 as a regular DVD player?

  • I am not going to be able to use my Panasonic DVD recorder/player to play regular DVD's in Dobly Digital 5.1 if I use the PSP3 because I have no more optical connection on my receiver. Does the Sony PSP3 play regular DVD's well? And since I play many non-commercial DVD's, comparability is also important (does it play just about everything you through at it?). Does the remote for the PSP3 have the capability to show time remaining on the DVD? This is one weakness of my current Panasonic DVD player. Thanks!!

    well first of all i think you mean ps3 not psp3 and yes it does play regular dvds and blue ray movies

the remaining time display is not needed, tho all of my sony dvd players have it. but yes it does play regular dvds since its backwards compatible. if my ps2 can, so can the ps 3

dvd's play well. most regions play depending on where you got your ps3 from and when. ps3 does not show the time remaining but i hear you can get hacking programs to install programs like that on the ps3 hard drive, so your remaining time will appear on screen at a touch of a button. dvd will play upto a maximum screen size you will not notice the difference between a 15 inch screen or a 50 inch screen. but a word of caution. my ps3 tends to deminish and become a lower grade for blu-ray anywhere after 40 inch screens. the video card in them is not powerful enough. and a tip... i found if you have a scratched dvd its best to stand the ps3 vertical... tends to not jump as much!
