Corporate sales training jobs?

Why is it that good sales people at Best Buy in Home Theater never get promoted and the managers do nothing.?

  • Am I the only one or does Best Buy's leadership system sound a little ****** up? Basically, I have a top rating of 4.1 on most my reviews, been with the company over four years, participated in volunteer activities, am rated as one of the top sales people and trainers, and yet find myself at 12 bucks an hour with little girls that try to manage me. I think I should be managing them, and firing lots of these so called leaders at Best Buy that think they are real managers when apparantly the football game is more important when I am doing all the sales work and they are just standing around giving me orders of who to contact. For example, I might have three sales closing at once, five managers standing in the middle of the store, and getting yelled at because I was juggling too many sales at once. What am I supposed to do, say um no, we can't serve you today because I am with 10 customers and no body else wants to do any work. NO! NO! NO! That is bullshit. By the way I had to call HR for my raise this time, and the head HR manager gave me the extra 27 cents. Also I have 2 degrees, and technical training, but I apparently needed experience when no body wants to help me get that experience. Just a month ago I finally got a job with an electrical engineering company in the oil and gas market. The job is ******* sales engineering, which is just another bullshit title for sales person who sells engineered products. How do I over come these bull **** sales jobs?

The only way to get out of sales is to change careers. I know you have 2 degrees. Most likely in engineering or other tech. I have a medical degree & I drive a semi. Go figure. But, I ended up going for a career that actually gave me satisfaction rather than the money. I hate customer service of all forms. In the medical field, it was all about pleasing others no matter how hard I busted my fanny. I was treated like crap by on so many levels that when I did submit my resignation, all of a sudden I was the king & they wanted to help me in any possible to get me to stay. But it was over. In your case, make a decision. I'm sure no one will like it, but you have to do something else to be happy. Combine your skills into home theater installation. Sure there's more labor involved, but you'll be the boss in the field. Buy a used beat up full sized van, get some tools, & start off that way. Just a suggestion.

i can tell you this. the support when you purchase a pc keeps allot of shops in business. they are terrible with support. they create more problems for good customers to spend money on. i know literally hundreds that go elsewhere for out of warranty work!
