Are LG home theater speakers interchangeable?

I need help setting up lhs 95pac home theater made by LG, help?

I just got this home theater system for free but it is missing the DVD player attachment, since my neighbor wanted to keep it. This is what they gave me (minus the DVD player) its a PDF of the manual of LG Lhs 95pac speakers. http://us.lge.com/filedown.do?filepath=1000000707&fileName=LHY-518_en.pdf Ok so all I have is the sub, where all the other speakers plug into but nothing to plug the "sytem cable" on page 15 of the PDF file. From my understanding these are active speakers and require some sort of amplifier or receiver or something. What is the easiest/cheapest way of getting these speakers to work, just being able to plug them into my TV or an iPod or something without making some homemade receiver kit thing. I am completely lost on this one...

Sorry to say dude but without the dvd player ur screwed! The dvd player works as the sound distributor so rather steal it or buy one maybe.
