How to hook up my surround sound to my tv?

  • i just bought a 46" philips tv, and a samsung surround sound + blueray player.... here is my dilema the tv only has 1 output its digital audio and the input on the surround sound is the red yellow white what can i do to get this working to clarify i want the sound from my tv to play on my surround sound! thanks in advance

you have to hook it straigt to the sounds source example if you have a blueray player it needs to be hooked to the blueray players sound output same with a cable or sattelite box or dvd player its not gonna play their sound off the tv it has to individually be hooked to each box output from the box to the input on surround sound

This is why you shouldn't have bought the Samsung surround system. You need a system where the receiver has a digital audio optical input. If your present one doesn't, you're out of luck.
