Will a component cables work on a composite tv?
-
Ok so me and my friend want to get a Hauppage HD PVR, but we don't have an HD tv. Both of us have normal tv's with composite inputs. So will the component cables that run from PVR to the tv work?
-
Answer:
You cannot send a component video signal to a composite video input. If the device has a composite video output, you can use one of the cables to connect the two devices (since the cables are physically identical).
