Ps3 and surround sound problems?

  • ok here's my question, is there any way i can use my surround sound on my ps3? Before you guys answer listen on.I just got my ps3 (160gb), and i also have a surround sound i bought like a couple months ago, but never used it because i failed to realize that you needed a receiver with it, and also before anyone says anything about hooking up 2 my TV i wanna say i have a crap TV. It's some old admiral TV made in like 200 or 2003 i don't know. Oh yea and also my surround sound system is a JVC sxxs6000 model. So all in all are there any ideas on what i should or can do besides buying anything over $75 dollars?

    in order to have your speakers working you have to have a receiver to output the watts on your speakers. i dont know how many watts they have you didnt say. but whatever they the ps3 is not going to be able to output that. buy a receiver. and sell your PS3 cause it sucks!!!!!!

try converting over to HD cables for the audio..but your tv maybe be to old....might not have a solution that is under 75$

ps3's suck....and sony is even losing money because it takes like $900 is make 1, and they sell it for $399

You need a receiver that has HDMI ports. You run HDMI from the PS3 to your receiver and then connect your receiver to your TV. And hook the speakers up to the receiver so you can have surround sound. Ideally you'll want to get an HD TV in the near future. Otherwise the awesome graphics are going to waste. You will not be able to do this for $75 unless you get lucky on craigslist or ebay.
