  • Hi, I am in the process of buying a Sony Tv and currentlly have Bose Lifestyle28 series 2 system. Do I need a AV Receiver to get optimum results with my new TV? or my Bose system will do the trick. Please help. Thank you Regards, Bunny

  • Answer:

If you want to do any audio video switch with more than 2 devices or do a whole house setup then yes you will. But how to hook it up to the Bose even I am at a loss. Bose offers a solution but it seems pricey, go bose. NOT

Bose suck, plain and simple. Sell it and grab this 5.1 speaker system: http://www.av123.com/products_product.php?section=speakers&product=83.1 with this receiver: http://www.accessories4less.com/cgi-bin/item/MARSR4600 buy your cables here: http://www.monoprice.com/products/department.asp?c_id=102 I hope that Sony LCD isn't a projection TV. The bulbs have to be replaced in projection TV's at $350+ a pop and the light engines can go bad. Projection TV's have a much higher problem / failure rate than plasma / flat panels. Go for plasma or LCD flat panel, or lastly DLP projection. Costco is having some great deals coming up on 1080p models...so get 1080p, not 720p.
