How do I connect a DVD player to a tv with a built in DVD player?

The tv is an insignia and has a built in DVD player but it broke. I want to connect my HDMI DVD player but can't figure it out I have to connect a red and white chords to he tv but there's only a red one because I have cAble connected too.

Answer:
Red & white is for audio only. You also need to connect the yellow video cable or s-video cable. If you don't have enough inpuits in the back of the TV then it can't be done.
