Why won't my blu-ray player turn on?

Vizio blu ray player plays audio but not video?

  • i recently purchased a vizio blu ray player and one day i went to turn it on, and the lights on the blu ray turned on but it wouldn't display the main menu on my tv. i put a dvd in and pressed play and i could hear it but i couldnt see it. i know that i had my tv on the right input, and i tried using another set of hdmi cables to see if that was the problem, but nothing happened. no matter what i do, my blu ray won't even display the main menu or any video at all. has this happened to anyone else? any advice is appreciated. thank you! :)

That is odd. That is a simple function. You simply cannot see it, so you might have to face you can burned on your purchase. If you cannot see any options you really do not have a valid way to fix any potential problem.
