What are the best speakers for TV?

What cable do I use to connect my Sony Bravia Tv, to a Sony Amplifier that is connected to 2 sony speakers?

  • We have a sony Bravia TV, with Sky HD and a Sony Playstation 3 connected and working correctly. We have just bought a pair of Sony Speakers and a Sony Amp, for which we would like to connect to the TV. We have the wires to connect the Speakers to the Amp, but would like to know which cable we would require to connect the TV to the Amp. Any advice would be greatly recieved. Thanks

    It would probably be just a standard audio lead (red and white plugs one end and the same on the other end) if you have the sockets on your tv which are red and white this is what id get your amp should almost definately have the sockets if this is the lead you require i would make sure to purchase the cable with gold plugs they are much better alround.

Depending on how old the amp is, you should be able to connect with a HDMI cable. This carries both video and audio, so it's an easy connection. Otherwise, you need to work out how to connect the audio out from the TV to the audio in on the amp. No need for a video connection as that will be dealt with by the TV. Come back with an editing and list what connections you have available on the TV, and the same on the amp.

i would go with jamie's answer due to that is exactly what i would have said and you need rca cables like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2m-TWIN-2-RCA-Phono-PLUG-PLUG-Lead-24k-OFC-CABLE-/270804058568?pt=UK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL&hash=item3f0d2e01c8 depending how far away you hi-fi is away from your tv they come in all different lengths from 0.5m to 25m long, that one in in the link is 2m long, thumbs down PMSL someone said to use the optical lead from the sky+ to the amp,, how are you going to get the ps3(3d blu-ray player) through the sony speakers if you do it that way,,YOU CANT what a stupid idea i have connected my panasonic plasma 3d tv to my pioneer av reciever by RCA leads and i can get my ps3, multi-region dvd player, and my tv all through my surround sound speakers
