What are some DVD recorders with component input and output?

Are there any DVD Players/Recorders with component input/output and HDMI/DVI output?

  • Hey everyone After hours of googling around for this, I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. My TV has a DVI-I input and I also have a projector with component input. Finding a DVD player that supports both is easy enough, the catch is I'd also like a component input on it so I can use my Wii at 480p. Any ideas on where to find one (or alternatively on how to hook up component output to a DVI-I input) will be greatly appreciated! =) Cheers from Portugal!

    Try Pioneer Elite. They're pretty universal. Or Denon. H a p p y H o m e T h e a t e r i n g ! Xe♫

Yes they make them. My son just got one and he loves it. But you also have to buy the cables to go with them.

you may want to look a a receiver and speakers to complete you set up. this would do the video switching for you and give you 5.1 surround on all you devices. Some models even do video conversion.

Sony makes several models with both HDMI and component inputs

Yes there is, check out the Cambridge Audio DVD-89 at Wild West Electronics: http://www.wildwestelectronics.net/cambridge-audio-dvd89-upscaling-hdmi-dvd-player.html This unit is region FREE and upscales up to 1080i. In addition to having a composite and s video output, this unit has Component Video, DVI and HDMI outputs. It can upscale to 1080i on all of the latter 3. It does not however have any video inputs. Hope this helps.
