Which home theater system is better?

Of the two, Polk is better. My bro has much bigger Polk speakers at his home & they sound very nice. I hope you really don't expect grand sound from these b/c in many cases, these speaker systems are not anywhere near the high quality sound as full range floor standing speakers are. But considering your budget, they will do.

Go with the Polk, I trust that company. Energy Take 5 I have never heard of. Polk has great audio quality

Energy is a high end speaker company out of Canada they makes some of the best sounding speakers in the world, they get great reviews on audiophile web sites while Polk usually does not, Polk makes good speakers they just do not have the snob appeal that energy does OK? Those speakers you have listed are an older line they use to sell for $149 but have gone up in price due to lack of inventory they have been replaced by the take 5 classic which has a black piano finish and upgraded drivers but is essentially the same speaker. i would buy the energy speaker brand they are the best and sound great. polk is also good,.
