Wireless Subwoofer?

Have vizio soundbar with wireless subwoofer?

  • Was struck by lightning and now neither device works. Is it because the soundbar controls everything and if I replace it will the subwoofer work? or are both pieces fried?

  • Answer:

There's no way to tell for certain if they both got fried since the subwoofer needs a signal from the soundbar to operate. I doubt you can buy just the soundbar itself anyways, so either way you have to replace both. I've used the Sony HT-CT150 soundbar before, and it cut out sounds like ambient noises that even my TV played. I haven't tested them all, but you may want to stay away from them. Something like the Onkyo HT-S3300 is good. In the future make sure you get a surge protector with protected equipment warranty. Belkin has good surge protectors. I listed a surge protector below with $300,000 connected eqiupment coverage and an affordable 5.1 surround sound system.
