How can i keep my speaker system from blowing out, it also has a subwoofer?

And I don't want it were its distorted and I want to keep the bass, its 100watt system

Answer:
You gave us no real information about your speakers, subwoofer or electronics. This means I can only give you generic information. You destroy speakers by under-powering them. Speakers use power to start moving. They use more power to stop and reverse direction. Without enough power - the speakers reach their mechanical limit and damage themselves. You notice this as distortion. If you buy a crappy "1,000 watt" system and try to use real speakers on these really ... 24 watt per channel amps - you will destroy the speakers. As the previous poster said - if you notice distortion in the sound - turn down the volume. Hope this helps.
