Installing a home theatre system?

Home Theatre System Setup Question?

  • Alright ladies and gents. I have my Home Theatre system after years of patience and payoff. The question is: I have a Dreamcast, a PS3, and a Wii with their respective cables. In the box comes the necessary cables to link the home theatre system to its speakers. What else would I need to have and need to do to set up my complete system? I fear that I need to buy another HDMI, Composite and Component cable to connect the theatre system to the HDTV, or do I just need one HDMI cable? I would like the best detailed advice possible. • Answer:

Buy an A/V receiver. It is a box that you connect everything to and then connect the receiver to the tv and speakers. all it requires is a HDMI cable to connect to the TV from the receiver. The other components should be hooked up to the receiver.
